CURRENCY

Russian currency is "Rubles" [Rubli']; 1 rub = 1/27 USD*; 1 rub = 1/34 Euro*
* currency rate is approximate and may change slightly day by day
fractions of rubles: "kopeyka"; 1 kop = 0,01 rub
Coins: 1 kop; 5 kop; 10 kop; 50 kop; 1 rub; 2 rub; 5 rub.
Notes: 10 rub; 50 rub; 100 rub; 500 rub; 1000 rub; 5000 rub.

Examples of prices:
One way ticket (any distance) for bus, tram or metro in Saint-Petersburg = 14 rub (~0,5 USD)
Lunch for one person = 60...400 rub, depends on place (2...15 USD)
Dinner for one person = 150...1000 rub, depends on place (5...35 USD)
There are a lot of places to have a meal - from MacDonald's, some Russian fast-foods etc. to really good and expensive restaurants with Russian, Chinese, European and other food.

There are a lot of ATM machines and currency exchanges in the city.
Many of serious shops and food-places take cards.

    Attention!
    Please all competitors, judges, visitors etc. of the world championship in Saint-Petersburg send us a full information: list if persons, date of arriving and type of transport which you use (train, plane, car etc.).     Attention World Championship 2007 participants!
    First please send team application form with names and classes for all sportsmens. This form must be signed by the president of national federation and stamped. Personal application forms should be attached to the team application form. Please do not send personal applications separately.

    Attention!
    Is't not a lot of time to beginning of the Championship and it is going to be out of free rooms in St-Petersburg hotels in the summer. That's why we kindly recommend to all to proceed quickly with your applications. Information in this site is the official invitation. You will receive paper invitation with your passport data (for visa application) only after sending us filled Championship application form for every person. Please be hurry.

    We received the hotels list from St-Petersburg which are ready to accomodate all competitors and guests of the Championship. We will post this list here as soon as possible.

    At the moment of 01 December 2006, we have confirmations from Germany, France, Poland, Czechia and the former Soviet republics to be presented at the Championship. Scandinavians may send their teams also.
